Sharon Osbourne Speaks Out on Celebrity Marriage

Sharon Osborne, who has been married to rock star Ozzy Osbourne for 28 years, says she would never give up on their union, although sometimes it has been tough.

“There is a hideous epidemic of marriage being bound up with people’s careers,” said Sharon. “Everybody needs to stop looking for perfect, cardboard cut-out partners because that won’t work and it won’t last. If you have children and there is still love there then you have to keep trying and absolutely exhaust that love before you opt out. But if you don’t have children, then just head for the hills.”

Sharon and Ozzy have three children together, Aimee, Kelly and Jack. The outspoken redhead was also estranged from her father, Don Arden, for 20 years, although she did reconcile with him in 2002, just 5 short years before his death in 2007.

“He gave me a lot, really. He gave me a great education in life and the work ethic I have now. When he died, I had him sent back to the UK to be buried and I sat with his body in the mortuary … but I didn’t cry – I just couldn’t, because I had cried over years and years .”
