Yet another controversy has erupted for Michelle Obama’s choice of evening wear, this time for a one-shoulder dress that revealed a tiny bit of (gasp) cleavage for the White House State Dinner for Mexico’s president Felipe Calderon.

USA today said “Her one-shoulder, cleavage-baring Peter Soronen gown proves that she’s no stuffy First Lady,” and apparently Glenn Beck has even complained that the dress was not appropriate.

Of course the same could be said about Glenn Beck…

The First Lady has been criticized for wearing sleeveless dresses that show off her well-toned arms (remember her first official photo as First Lady in the stunning black sheath? Humma humma!)

At another state dinner, Michelle Obama’s dress was described as being a “nude” color, which was quickly changed to “champagne” when it became obvious that the nude color was not HER nude color.

Whoopsie! She took some flak for that too, as I recall.

Did Jackie Kennedy garner this much criticism for her fashions? No. Let’s give Mrs. Obama a break.
