Al Gore is here in Manila today, June 8, 2010, to bring his “dog and pony show” about how the earth is about to turn into a big fireball unless richer countries start trading “carbon credits” through the “almost open for business” Chicago Climate Exchange, which Mr. Gore owns a 10% stake in and will make TRILLIONS of dollars from this scheme. First, Mr. Gore is reported to be using the Ondoy disaster last year here in Manila to show how the earth is warming and it will be bad for this proud nation. Of course Mr. Gore will not allow questions that could possibly spoil his spotlight moment and will just make his pitch. One would ask why Al Gore would come here to Manila, as the Philippines will not have to purchase carbon credits. The answer is a simple one. The Philippines will be the benefactor of funds that are designed to help developing countries and will also have a surplus of carbon credits to sell at the Al Gore owned Chicago Climate Exchange. Al Gore would not answer requests for an interview by CMR. The facts are that there are a lot of people here that will make millions by selling carbon credits in the Philippines and Mr. Gore probably just wants his piece of the pie. The Philippines could use the help in making a “greener” footprint on the Earth but should go it alone and not give Al Gore any percentage for his so called help.
