DWTS Recap: October 7th

But her departure from the show meant what everyone already knew: no one was eliminated. And that also probably means that Kim Kardashian will not be putting on her dancing shoes

New York (CMR) - A day after bowing out of Dancing With the Stars, Misty May-Treanor had surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon. Shudder. While doctors estimated it would take approximately nine months of recovery and rehab before Misty could return to playing volleyball, the surgery was reportedly a success and she’s already back at home recovering.But her departure from the show meant what everyone already knew: no one was eliminated. And that also probably means that Kim Kardashian will not be putting on her dancing shoes again. Aw, shed a tear.There was also a lot of drama between the couples, particularly Derek and Brooke. But while things were getting heated between the two, things couldn’t be better for the pro and his former Dancing partner, Shannon Elizabeth; the two are now living together.

Anyways, back to the results. Though no one was sent home, the results weren’t totally meaningless — unlike the show which was basically 55 minutes of filler. The judges and viewer scores from this week will be combined with next week’s scores to determine who will go home next Tuesday. And the couple with the lowest score, and have their work cut out for them, are Rocco Di Spirito and Karina Smirnoff.

Which is shocking, considering he’s charming as all gets out and Cloris Leachman’s schtick and her so-called dancing shouldn’t be allowed on the show past next week. If I wanted to see her crack jokes, I’d catch her in a Malcolm in the Middle rerun. Hopefully this is what will scare voters into backing Rocco and send Cloris packing.
