American Idol Unveils 7 of the Top 24 Contestants for Season 9

After an hour of reviewing various performance during Hollywood Week, Room 2 was dismissed, leaving 46  contestants to face the judges one more time and learn their fate.   The contestants are all exhausted, nerve-wracked and enduring stress that rivals that of soldiers in battle.

For the first time in AI history, the final judgment is coming down in the Kodak Theater. For the ones who go home, this glimpse of what could have been must be unbelievably bittersweet. For sure, this is the part of the show the judges revel in the most. They get to tease, torture and taunt each contestant on a face-to-face basis. The dragging out…the pretending to say no then say yes….it’s torture to watch and surely torture to endure.

One by one the contestants walked back, suffered through the ritual and learned their fate. The winners so far …..drum roll … are:
