MTV Sued by Couple From Boardwalk During ‘Jersey Shore’ Filming

On the show Jersey Shore a couple got into a fight with cast members Ronnie Margo and Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola on the boardwalk. The couple is suing MTV because they claim that MTV edited the film to make Margo look better and that the fight was not their fault. The couple from the boardwalk says that MTV handled the editing “in a manner that was completely inconsistent with what really took place.”

The couple says that the raw footage would show the two cast members insulting them and making homophobic slurs. However Margo has apologized for what he said to the couple. On television, MTV showed the couple as the people who first called out to them and some pushing mostly being done by the couple until a security guard pulls them apart. The couple also says that they were drunk when they signed the release forms therefore they shouldn’t be valid.
