American Idol had a few surprises last night in the elimination round with Aaron Kelly, Michael Lynche, and Andrew Garcia all in the bottom three. This came as no shock to anyone as these three performers have not impressed us or the judges since the beginning of American Idol Season 9 started. Aaron Kelly was announced as the 7th contestant to be safe and this left us with Micheal Lynche and Andrew Garcia. Michael Lynche was the person who was going home as he has been giving less than stellar performances and just hasn’t really let go yet. Michael had one chance left to WOW the judges and he really stepped up to the plate. Lynche finally sang with all of the emotion and feeling of a performer with many more years experience. Even Simon Cowell seemed stunned and the audience went wild. After Michael Lynche gave the performance of his life, Simon Cowell announced that it was a unanimous decision by the judges that he would stay for another week on American Idol Season 9.
