Governor Of New Jersey Disses Jersey Shore Show

New Jersey’s governor Chris Christie is fed up with the show Jersey Shore. He threw a verbal punch at the show by saying ”Negative for New Jersey,” the Republican politician declared. “It takes a bunch of New Yorkers, drops them at the Jersey Shore, and tries to make America feel like this is the Jersey Shore. I can tell people — they want to know what New Jersey really is — I welcome them to come to New Jersey anytime. The Jersey Shore is a beautiful place.”
But many people who actually have money in the beaches of the Jersey shore say that the show is good publicity for the area. ”For Seaside Heights, the exposure has been good for us,” Maria Maruca, executive director of the Seaside Heights Business Improvement District, told MTV News. “The governor is expressing his opinion, and he does represent the entire state. I represent Seaside Heights.”
The economy in the area of Jersey shore has been boosted by tourism due to the show. So it looks like the cast of Jersey Shore aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Maria Maruca is no true local from NJ because any local hates this show. Ask anyone from NJ who does not own a business. This show may only benefit local businesses in seaside. It is in the best interest of Ms. Maruca to bring additional revenue to seaside, so her pockets can be filled. NJ businesses do not represent the consensus of folks living along the shore.
