American Idol Fires Kara Dioguardi And Wants Steven Tyler

Karen Dioguardi has been fired by American Idol and this is just the tip of the iceberg of American Idol news this week. American Idol needs a change as rating have sagged after 9 years. With the announcement earlier this year that Simon Cowell will be leaving the show, speculation as to his replacement started. Now Ellen DeGeneres has announced that she is quitting this show as it was too time consuming for her. Idol Execs seem to want to return to a 3 judge format and get back to basics. There is a plethora of names being floated around as to the replacement for Ellen and Simon. Steven Tyler, lead singer of the mega rock band Aerosmith, is rumored to be in the running. Jennifer Lopez is another rumored replacement and even is being by TMZ to be a done deal as a judge. Former judge Nigel Lythgoe is in talks to return also. Stay tuned for more as it comes out as American Idol is in a major shake up.
