Review Bank Job

Boston (CMR) – You really don’t have to think twice if you’re looking for a great movie. “The Bank Job” is another action packed movie by Jason Statham. It features the classic heist during the 70s.

Based on the true story, the movie follows how it was planned, executed and (spoiler) get away with it. Historically, “The Bank Job” aims to inform what really happened and what had gone wrong at least in the police side of the story.

Since the case had a gag order for sometime, the story wasn’t told. This movie aims to remake the movie for the first time in decades.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for another Jason Statham “really” action packed movies, you’ll be a little bit disappointed. Although it doesn’t have the usual action scenes from Mr. Statham, it has apparently shown his ability to act and make the story really interesting. There’s action, suspense and everything you’re looking for a great heist movie.

Unfortunately, the first part of the movie is a little bit of a bore. But apparently, it’s just there to introduce the characters in the movie as they slowly reveal who they are and what they can do in the movie. The blending of characters is amazing as everyone is being introduced and being pieced into the puzzle.

To understand the movie a little bit better, I can compare the movie to the modern Danny Ocean series. Danny Ocean was able to do his heist in style because it had a script. On the other hand, “The Bank Job” had a story instead of a script.

Although the production of the movie is no Ocean series, it has effectively told the story in style, making the movie viewers sit at the edge of their sit waiting for the next plot to unfold.

Ultimately, “The Bank Job” was able to tell the story as it is. Although I was not familiar about the heist, the actors and the plot of the story is realistic enough to make you believe that something like this happens. Jason Statham was able to show another side of him a little bit.

The rest of the characters followed through and the result is a great movie backed by a famous story. Hit the cinemas and know more about this great heist. The humanity of the story is more than enough to get you at the edge of your seat.

CMR gives The Bank Job a rating of 4/5.
