The movie “Predators” was one of my most anticipated releases of 2010 and I was thrilled and disappointed at the same time. First, I am a die hard “Predator” junkie and the series of movies is one of the few that I actually have purchased on DVD to watch over and over again. I was anticipating a great movie and “Predators” delivered on some levels and disappointed me on others. The cast, Adrien Brody, Topher Grace, Alice Braga, Walton Goggins, Oleg Taktarov, Laurence Fishburne, Danny Trejo, and Louis Changchien, all played their respective parts well. Nothing was bad with any performance in this movie. The plot was traditional yet with enough of a new twist to make it interesting and on par with the rest of the series. The Predators in this movie didn’t disappoint either. The new four legged Predators were an exciting addition. “Predators” starts out with a bang and slowly degrades as the movie progresses. It gets predictable and a little slow in the middle. I was totally disappointed by the ending. (NO I won’t give out any spoilers as I hate when movie reviewers do that to me) So I found myself walking out of “Predators” feeling dissapoointed and that is why this movie gets a low rating from me. The storyline could have been written much better in so many places that it makes this movie bad. Even the HOT Alice Braga, who did a fine job with the script she had, couldn’t keep me excited about this movie and she is the hottest woman to be in any “Predator” movie yet. “Predators” will leave you wishing you had control of 20th Century Fox so you could have corrected the bad script that ruins this movie.

I absolutely loved this movie. From start to finish, it was tense and intriguing. I don’t know how you couldn’t love the last thirty minutes or so if you’re really a die hard Predator fan. They were absolutely amazing.

I agree with this review big time! I am a fanatic predator fan and a huge Robert Rodriguez fan. But for some reason this movie made me wish I never saw it. I felt confused at a lot of parts. The movie really lacked action. Things in the just sort of happened as if the writer ran out of ideas. I do agree every one played there part very well. But I believe the script, to me anyways, killed this movie.

Predators was good and I thought the ending was done very well. The movie sets you up for a possible sequel or even a prequel baised on the laurence fishburne character.

I too, wished there was more action in this latest Presator movie. However, after seeing Predators, any “real” Predator fan would recognize that the writer and producer was looking way beyond just this film (i.e. the entire Predatorial “saga” if you will) with respect to the original Predator flick in particular. There are beautiful cues all throughout this well directed film which tell Predator fans that this is the beginning of a whole new era of Pred-flicks involving larger, more fierce and technologically advanced Predators! Additional hints suggest (as AVP did) that a Human-Predator alliance will take place in future films. Antal and Rodriguez did a fine job in Predators and I am very pleased with the cast and the film as a whole. We must remember, just like in the Alien series of films, you can’t give up too much info when other films are imminent. Again, REAL predator fans will know this.

Got something to say?
